Dump Truck Accident   On Friday, June 18, 2004, Dr. Harter and his son, Melvin Harter III were involved in an accident.

God Delivered Us   The devil would have loved nothing more than to see us dead.  But God put His protection around us.

No Brakes   Although new brakes had been put on the turck two weeks earlier, there were no brakes when we wanted the truck to stop.

52 Foot Quaries   There were two 52 foot deep quaries on either side.

My Son Melvin Tried to Gear Down   My son Melvin was driving and he tried to gear down the truck, but it was too late.

Private Road   We were near the place where we were to deliver our top soil.  It was a private road.

Dirt was Everywhere

Top Soil   The dirt was spread everywhere.

Truck on its Side   The dump truck was full of rich black topsoil that is on our church's property in Columbus, Ohio.

Wrecker Arrives   The large wrecker from Rusty's Towing arrives to turn the dump truck back onto its wheels.

Tow Truck Has Arrived   The wrecker has arrived and is getting to set the dump truck back onto its tires.

The Dump Truck is Coming Up   Slowly but surely, the dump truck is being set back up.

Getting Ready to Tow the Dump Truck

Dumpt Truck to be Towed   The wrecker will tow the dump truck back to our church property located at 3131 Refugee Road in Columbus, Ohio.

Dump Truck Damaged   It was rather scaring when the dump truck turned over on its side.  However, when it turned over, it did so very slowly.  The only damage appears to be a broken mirror and signal light.  There is also a little damage to the front fender.  Other than that, everything else appears to be okay.  Of course, we are going to have the brakes checked out before we go on the road again.
